MUDr. Vladimír Kovács, PhD. MHA
Dr. Kovács is reputable and acclaimed specialist in vascular surgery with ample experience of 26 years. Dr. Vladimír Kovács, PhD. MHA graduated in general medicine at the Jessenius Faculty of Medicine, Martin campus of the Comenius University in Bratislava. He completed his post gradual studies in surgery field at Slovak Medical University in Bratislava (SMU) by completing two surgical postgraduate exam programmes in general surgery. Then, he completed specialised post graduation exam under the post-gradual study in vascular surgery at the Clinic of Vascular Surgery NÚSCH (National Institute for Cardiac Diseases), a part of SMU study. In preparation for the postgraduate exam, he spent several months at internship programme at the Clinic of Vascular Surgery at Semmelweis University in Budapest under the Professor Dzsinich. Then, he completed doctorand study in surgery, being awarded PhD. title. As an additional study, Dr. Kovács also completed managerial studies at the St. Elisabeth University of Health Care and Social Work in Bratislava. He is the author and co-author of more than 200 lectures in Slovakia as well as abroad; author and co-author of 18 specialised publications and co-author of 2 book monographs. He was the one who introduced carotid endarterectomy into common practice in county hospitals facilities. He carried out first arterial angioscopy in Slovakia in 2006. In 2016 Dr. Kovács completed two certified courses under Dr. Dragica in Serbia, one of which was led by Brazilian Professor Dr. Kasuo Myiake, both world renowned specialists in field of aesthetic phlebology. Dr. Kovács is a member of Minimally Invasive Surgery of Varices International Forum.
